Summary:

In this session, you will learn about the history and present state of mental health impacts the outcomes of BIPOC clients. You will also learn strategies to improve client experiences in the therapy room.

Objectives:

  • Identify at least 2 ways in which systemic racism has deterred minority communities to seek mental health services
  • Engage in an activity to highlight the impact of micro and macroaggressions
  • Apply at least 3 tools to create a safer environment in the therapy room for Black & Latinx clients
